- BS in PhysicsVirginia Tech
Background
Kaila is a Ph.D. student in the Astrophysical Sciences and Technology program working with Dr. Richard O’Shaughnessy. Previously she completed her MS in Astrophysics at the University of Bonn under Dr. Norbert Langer studying spin down and envelope inflation of massive stars. She earned her BS in Physics from Virginia Tech and worked on analyzing radio counterparts to gravitational wave signals and modeling chemically homogeneous stellar evolution. Currently, she is studying common envelope evolution and supernova formation.
