When One Black Hole is Not Like the Other

I discuss binary black hole mergers characterized by non-trivial mass ratios.  
Traditionally viewed as sources for space-based detectors, the physics of similar systems
that can be targeted by ground-based observatories is relatively unexplored.  I will cover
the scientific and sociological origin of this discrepancy, and will explain some of the 
more interesting observational prospects for these systems, one of which is orbital 
resonance (pictured here).
