Background
I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the CCRG at RIT. Here I am working on simulations of supermassive black hole binaries approaching merger, studying their accretion disk dynamics and calculating their photon spectral and timing signatures, including jet formation. For this I make use of the numerical code Harm3D and PatchworkMHD.
I studied Physics at the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico, Mexico. I graduated working on numerical solvers of geodesics. My master studies at the University of Michoacan, Mexico, specializing on numerical hydrodynamics in GR. I did my PhD studies at the University of Valencia, Spain, under the supervision of Prof. Miguel Aloy and Dr. Petar Mimica. My research topic there was in numerical modeling of high energy radiation in magnetized plasma.
After that I did a postdoctoral stay at Purdue University with Prof. Dimitrios Giannios. There I worked on modeling of particle acceleration processes and high-energy radiation of relativistic outflows. For this I developed a numerical code that is capable of revealing the effects of the interaction of particles and and radiation in plasma undergoing magnetic reconnection, shocks, turbulence, etc.
