Abstract

The Open Science Grid provides a large amount of computing power, by granting access to a network of machines that can run jobs simultaneously. However, in order to use this resource effectively, one needs to dedicate a large amount of time into organizing the structure of each job, and interfacing with the language of HTCondor. Furthermore, on these systems, programs are usually run in software containers built from docker images. In this presentation, I will discuss my current research, which compares the likelihood of gravitational wave detections from one model of the universe to another. This is not a tutorial on Docker, HTCondor, and the OSG. However, I will discuss the resources available, and how I make use of them for my own research.
