Paramo (PArticles and RAdiation MOnitor) is a numerical code designed to track the evolution of particle distributions and radiation in relativistic plasma flows. A robust solver to the kinetic equation has been implemented in order to include acceleration processes like Fermi I and II, magnetic reconnection, turbulence, etc. The solution of the kinetic equation is used at each time-step to calculate different radiation processes, namely synchrotron and inverse Compton scattering, with sophisticated and efficient numerical techniques. The core of Paramo is taking into account at runtime as much effects from the interaction between particles and radiation. The final outcome is the multi-wavelength spectral evolution and light curves from the system. In the present talk I will describe the nuts and bolts of Paramo, the motivation behind this code, and finish with applications to GRB afterglows.
