Background
Nicole is interested primarily in Numerical Relativity and compact binary mergers in vacuum spacetime. Currently, she is working on investigating the efficiency of a numerical tetrad used in the construction of a scalar representative of outgoing gravitational radiation. Nicole is also working on the implementation and testing of an alternate form of gravitational-wave strain h, which will allow us to calculate h directly from data and thus reduce integration error. Nicole plans to also study gauge conditions for BBH mergers, particularly modifications to the hamiltonian and momentum constraints.
