Gravitational Wave Astrophysics and Data Analysis

Paul Baker received his PhD in physics from Montana State University in 2013 for work related to LIGO data analysis.  He participated in LIGO searches for intermediate mass black holes using a machine learning algorithm.  He also worked on the early development of BayesWave, a Bayesian algorithm to identify both unmodeled bursts of gravitational waves and detector glitches.  Paul has been a visiting assistant professor at SUNY Geneseo since Fall 2013.  He continues to work on BayesWave and its application to LIGO data analysis.
