The detection of both gravitational and electromagnetic waves from astrophysical sources constitute an exciting possibility which might be realized in the near future.  This talk will illustrate some possible ways in which a binary black hole systems might induce electromagnetic emissions. (Other systems, like binary neutron stars and black hole/neutron star binaries will be discussed if time permits.)
